In the year 2006, Oheneba Nana Kwabena Opoku (Kokosohene) visited London and during this time Charles Osei-Braimah was introduced to him. It was during the final funeral rite of Nana Asokwa Kotoko held in Brixton town hall amid a massive crowd that the newly installed Mmrantiehene of UK/Ireland, Charles Osei-Braimah was introduced as Nana Asokwa Kotoko’s successor. Present at the funeral ceremony were Nana Okyere Amanfo, Osraman Nana Ku-si-Appiah, Nana BB Osei, Alhaji Abass Mensah, Nana Oduro Kwarteng and many more.
Known in private life as Charles Osei-Braimah (aka Kwadwo DC) he was spotted and nominated by Nana Oduro Kwarteng as the rightful successor to Nana Asokwa Kotoko after his death.
He gained approval from relevant authorities and personalities including Alhaji Abass Mensah (Oyoko Abusuapanin of UK).
On the 11th of August 2012 at Broadwater Farm community hall in North London, Nana Osei Kwame Il swore an oath of allegiance to the entire Ghanaian community and Nananom of United Kingdom as Mmrantiehene of UK/Ireland. By this, the Ghanaian community chalked another impressive feat of cultural significance in a remarkable ceremony that was witnessed by a number of special guests including
